Renew GENERAL GUIDANCE FOR CONTRACTORS WORKING IN RHODE ISLAND Login to our e-Licensing System to Renew Requirements for those renewing a contractor’s registration: 1. Documentation of completion of an approved, 2.5-hours of Continuing Education. Click here for approved continuing education courses. Exception to the 2.5-hours of continuing education course: Applicants who will be working exclusively on commercial structures. If a registration has lapsed for more than one (1) year, documentation of completion of an approved, 5-hour, pre-registration course. Click here for approved pre-registration courses. 2. $500,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance, indicating CRLB as the certificate holder. 3. Certificate of Worker’s Compensation Insurance, indicating CRLB as the certificate holder, must be submitted by applicants with employees. 4. Business ID# and date of incorporation for Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. Search a Rhode Island Secretary of State Business ID #. 5. $150 registration fee. Additional $50.00 late fee is assessed for an expired registration. The fee can be paid online.
