Requirements for those renewing a Home Inspector/Associate Home Inspector license:

  1. Documentation of completion of approved 12-hours continuing education courses. Click here for approved continuing education courses for Home Inspector/Associate Home Inspectors.
  2. $500,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance indicating CRLB as the certificate holder.
  3. $500,000 Certificate of Errors and Omission Insurance indicating CRLB as the certificate holder.
  4. Certificate of Worker’s Compensation Insurance indicating CRLB as the certificate holder, must be submitted by applicants with employees.
  5. Business ID# and date of incorporation for Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. Search a Rhode Island Secretary of State Business ID #.
  6. $200 license renewal fee for 2 years. Additional $50.00 late fee is assessed for an expired license.

    The fee can be paid online. Alternatively, checks made payable to RICRLB (please include the OpenGov Application # on the check) can be mailed to:
