Requirements for those renewing a Home Inspector/Associate Home Inspector License:

1. Documentation of completion of approved, 12 hours of continuing education courses. Click here for approved continuing education courses for Home Inspector/Associate Home Inspectors.  
2. $500,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance, indicating CRLB as the certificate holder.
3. $500,000 Certificate of Errors & Omission insurance indicating CRLB holder.
4. Certificate of Worker’s Compensation Insurance, indicating CRLB as the certificate holder, must be submitted by applicants with employees.
5. Business ID# and date of incorporation for Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. Search a Rhode Island Secretary of State Business ID #

6. $200 license fee. Additional $50.00 late fee is assessed for an expired license.

   The fee can be paid online.  Additionally, checks (please include the OpenGov Application # on check ) made payable to RICRLB may be mailed to:
